With the release of the iPad mini, the 8-inch Tablet PC gains new development path in 2013. In this year’s MWC General Assembly, the small size tablet is favored, and many manufacturers have released small size tablets. According to the data institutions, in 2013, the small size tablet PC sales will more than a hundred million. And Coby will release the 8-inch, 9-inch and 10-inch three small size Tablet PCs this year. They will all be with Amlogic8226-MX dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB storage space. It supports up to 32GB micro SD expansion, and it has a 300,000 pixel front camera.
On the design, the 8-inch MID 8065 model tablet uses the same plastic structure with the 9-inch MID9760 model tablet, but the screen is with high-definition material. The 10-inch MID1056 model tablet uses the more upscale metal case design and a resolution of 1280 x 800 IPS touch screen. Coby did not reveal too many details about the selling price.
It is speculated that the price of the 8-inch tablet is about $180, while the 10-inch tablet is priced at around $230. A German staff of Coby revealed that the 9-inch tablet price will be around 219 euros.
